In a place of despair and brokenness, John and Helen gave God a chance to rebuild their lives and marriage. This year, they will celebrate 50 years of marriage—a testament to the power of God at work in their lives since that moment. Today their marriage and lives are filled with love, joy and a great expectation for even greater days ahead.
John and Helen share with an openness and vulnerability that is disarming and encouraging for everyone on a relationship journey. They believe that relationships are the ‘Workshop of Life’ and everyone needs to learn and grow in this vital realm.
John and Helen are incredibly passionate about helping people build thriving relationships, marriages, families, and healthy church communities. Together they co-led Relate Church in the Vancouver, BC area for 35 years, and today serve as Founding and Teaching Pastors. They have three incredible daughters and take the greatest joy in their eight awesome grandchildren.
