Prayer & Fasting for BREAKTHROUGH
Blow the ram’s horn in Zion! 
Announce a sacred fast; 
proclaim a solemn assembly.
Gather the people;
 sanctify the congregation; 
assemble the aged; 
gather the infants,
 even babies nursing at the breast. 
Let the groom leave his bedroom,
and the bride her honeymoon chamber.
Let the priests, the Lord’s ministers,
 weep between the portico and the altar.
 Let them say,
 “Have pity on your people, Lord, and do not make your inheritance a disgrace,
 an object of scorn among the nations.
 Why should it be said among the peoples, 
‘Where is their God?’“
It is nothing less than the sudden, supernatural breaking out of the presence, power and blessing of God upon His people.
We are convinced that for Cities Church, 2026 is a year of BREAKTHROUGH.
For our lives.
For our families.
For our church.
From the Word of God, we see that whenever God’s people come together and cry out to Him earnestly, He has promised to respond to our prayers. So in faith, we are calling our whole church- from children, to young adults, to elders, to pastors- to set aside ten days at the beginning of our year to pray that in 2026 we would see God breakthrough like never before!
We will be praying for breakthrough in these specific areas, as outlined in the second chapter of Joel:
DAY 1: Breakthrough in PROSPERITY (Joel 2:18-19)
DAY 2: Breakthrough in SPIRITUAL VICTORY (Joel 2:20)
DAY 3: Breakthrough in MIRACLES (Joel 2:21)
DAY 4: Breakthrough in FRUITFULNESS (Joel 2:22)
DAY 5: Breakthrough in the PRESENCE OF GOD. (Joel 2:23-24)
DAY 6: Breakthrough in RESTORATION (Joel 2:25)
DAY 7: Breakthrough in PROVISION (Joel 2:26-27)
DAY 8: Breakthrough in REVIVAL (Joel 2:28-29)
DAY 9: Breakthrough in PROPHECY (Joel 2:28-29)
DAY 10: Breakthrough in SALVATION (Joel 2:32)
